Dance Family,
    As you know, we tragically lost senior dancer and preschool assistant Emilee Hurst this April. It has been our hope that beauty would come from this terrible situation. Today, we are blessed to announce the Emilee Hurst Foundation. The Emilee Hurst Foundation will help fund dancers needs at Mary Lou's School of Dance. Each year we will distribute these funds to deserving students to assist with tuition, costumes, recital fees, convention fees, guest artists coming in, etc..

In addition, The Emilee Award will be given out each year at our June recital to the student (or students) chosen by our staff that we feel exemplify the following qualities:
A student who is committed to the studio.
A student who is kind to all.
A student who helps younger dancers.
A student who has a passion for dance.
A student who consistently goes above and beyond.
The Emilee Award recipient will have their name added to a memorial statue in the studio as well as a commemorative plaque and a scholarship.

We've already had several generous donations to get us going, and we are contributing ourselves yearly as well. Would you like to help?
